Stone Buddha of Manji
The Manji Stone Buddha, located just a short walk from Suwa Taisha Shrine Shimosha Harumiya Shrine, was seen by the late artist Taro Okamoto when he came to the Suwa Taisha Shrine Onbashira Festival in 1974, and he praised it, saying, "I've traveled all over the world, but I've never seen anything as interesting as this."He became famous overnight.
Its unbalanced appearance and facial expression are humorous, and it seems to be attracting many tourists recently.
She is an idol in Shimo-Suwa Town.
The name comes from the fact that the era name of Manji is engraved on it.
It is located near Suwa Taisha Shrine Shrine (Shimosha).
